when they get older and aren't so cute anymore ?
Oh, yes! Fairies do age - or else they wouldn't be able
to grow up from baby-fairy to young adult-fairy. They just
age at a much slower rate and some day they are middle
aged and even old...
Who paints their pictures?
Who tells their stories?
Who asks them for a wish to fulfill
while they hang out in their secret
places?
Who believes they even exist?

They probably act as guardians. I mean, we've got Cinderella's fairy godmother, who's obviously one of the older fairies, so maybe that's what they do.
